Maxime Matthys is a Belgian photojournalist specialized in documentary stories and based in Paris. He integrated the photography school of Toulouse before moving to Brighton. He then followed a photojournalist formation at the EMI-CFD school in Paris. He has covered multiple demonstrations in France, worked on the homelessness situation in Brighton, daily life in french ZAD (zone to defend) but also been selected to undertake a residency and to photograph people in exclusion situations. He is mostly focusing on social issues around the world, especially the ones affecting human rights.
